Post Alarm Settings

A post-alarm is the period right after an alarm triggers in a security system. During this time, the system continues to record, send alerts, or activate other actions.

For example, a camera might record for 30 seconds after detecting motion. This way, it captures critical events that happen immediately after the trigger.

Security teams often set post-alarm durations based on the environment and level of risk. Longer durations allow more footage to be reviewed, while shorter ones save storage space.

When users configure post-alarm settings properly, they improve video retention and system response.
