IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) is a legacy standard for connecting storage drives to DVRs or PCs. Once common in early CCTV systems, IDE has been replaced by SATA, which offers faster and more reliable performance.
Integrated Drive Electronics. This is the cable connection from a PC motherboard to a disk drive, CD drive or other devices. This is a forty-pin ribbon connector cable. EIDE is an updated configuration 80 pin connections providing an individual ground for each data signal.
